Christmas Gingerbread Recipe

Okay, lets admit it. Christmas just isn't the same without those little edible people called gingerbread men. Or whatever shape you make them into. The reason for this post came about when i was scouring Pinterest earlier on at work (yeah, I have the best job in the world with Cumbria Shutters). Gingerbread was just everywhere, even on twitter people were sharing their creations. So, I just HAD to make some. Thankfully, the ingredients are really simple, so i didn't even need to head out in the rain to Sainsbury's. Bonus.

To make them:

Preheat the oven to 190 C / Gas mark 5. Lightly grease or line two baking trays.
Sift the flour, bicarbonate of soda and ginger into a bowl. Rub in the butter with your fingertips until it resembles coarse breadcrumbs; stir in sugar. Beat syrup into egg then stir into flour mixture.
Knead the dough until smooth. Roll out to 1/2 cm thick on a lightly floured surface, then cut into desired shape.
Bake in the preheated oven until golden and puffed, about 10-12 minutes. Let them sit on the tray for a few minutes before moving to a wire rack.
Cool completely before decorating with icing/sprinkles/other pretty things

A Christmas Party Makeup Look

Only 2 days, 5 hours, 18 minutes and 20 seconds until Christmas day. I'm not counting down, honest... Okay, that's a lie. I'm SO excited! The christmas tree is completely surrounded by presents, mulled wine constantly brewing, and work is coming to a close for a few weeks. All we need now is some snow, and i'll be one happy little girly. Realistically though, that's never going to happen. Damn.

To get me out of the sadness that a white christmas is just not going to occur, I've spent all day glamming myself up and trying out outfits for Christmas day and New Year. I will be honest, my mum, sister and I have decided this year that we're just going to have a quiet one. No doubt, the day will be spent in onesies, watching Love Actually and eating our body weights in chocolate. What time christmas dinner will be cooked is an unknown mystery, and i really can't wait for a cosy day in. Slightly different to the manic, dressed up, family filled christmas days i'm used to, but it will be a pleasant change. Don't panic though, i WILL have the chance to dress up. Christmas Eve is going to be a big one, as will New Years Eve with my dads side of the family!

Each year, I massively overspend on new dresses for the party season, often to find i wear something I already own (anyone else guilty of this?). So, this year, i'm saving my pennies and making use of what i've got. This post is mainly about the hair and makeup, but when i wear this dress New Year i'll get some outfit shots for you!

Personally, I think Christmas time is all about the sparkly eyes and red lips. It's a look i love to wear and the festive season is the perfect time to wear it. I went for a less dramatic eye by using a white glittery shadow on my lid, gold shadow in the crease, and a metallic purple eyeliner in the water and lash line. For the lips, I used a red lip liner, and pinky/red lipstick. You could add more glam with darker eyeshadows and winged eyeliner, but i kept it down. For a highlight, I used my new Laura Mercier shimm bloc which i'm head over heels in love with. I may just have to do a review on it soon!?

For my hair, i kept it simple by curling it into big loose curls, and pinning back the annoying bit of hair that falls down my face. (we all have that, right?) I love how 'retro' the look turned out, and it is definitely one I will wear more often.

It seems recently that I've been enjoying taking outfit pictures of others, rather than myself. It's always hard fighting with a tripod when you've not got anyone else to take the photos for you, and quite frankly, I love the whole process of styling, bossing around and getting great shots of others! Granted, I'm not the best at photography, but practice makes perfect, right?

Anyway, meet my sister. Known as Paige/Paigey/Piglet/Piggy/Tiddles (call her what you wish) she is the pretty little other half of me. She's made a few sneaky appearances on here before, but I knew she was excited to have her own post! A few weeks back I was kindly sent this gorgeous little smock dress from Choies. However, much to my dismay by boobs (yep, I went there) just wouldn't fit in it. I wasn't dieting just to squeeze in, to find they probably wouldn't shrink anyway (any old excuse, hey). So, I decided to style Paigey up in it, instead. We went for a really simple look, quite similar to her style. Typically, she's the girl who wears a pair of tatty jeans, old knitted jumper and looks a million dollars! Jealous yet? Imagine having to live with it. A combo like that on me resembles something more like a ... erm... (you get the point). That it mind, this is a slightly girlier look for her, but we kept jewellery simple, to none. Styled it with her own leather jacket, brown boots, and threw in my Chanel for obvious good measure. To make the aplique on the dress stand out, I tied her hair up and went for a natural makeup look! We had a lovely afternoon, and made me miss the days when i was little and used to raid mums makeup to paint all over paigeys face! Don't laugh, I know you all did the same to your little sisters!

Perfect Christmas party outfit

The Christmas party season is upon us once again! *HOORAH* It seems like only last week that i made my last festive related post! Oh how the year has flown by! Anyhow, we all love the delicious food, copious glasses of mulled wine and shopping that come with christmas time. But, my favourite part has got to be outfit planning and scouring the web for ideas to add to my ever growing 'Santa's wish list'. So, this pretty post came about when I discovered my dream watch. By dream i mean 'I can only have/own/wear this when i'm not conscious (asleep)' because it costs more than the average persons salary (£30,490 to be precise). But hey, I have high expectations in my life, so one day when i'm rather wealthy or met the 'perfect, rich husband' most girls dream of, i WILL own it. Yes, i WILL. This mother of pearl Blancpain beauty is absolutely to die for and has definitely made it's way to the top of my 'realistically never going to own' list.

Okay, so once i discovered the-most-perfect-watch-ever, it seemed only fair I made a slightly more realistic party outfit to match it! Christmas is about sparkle, so go as OTT as you like girls! (well, there is possibly a limit, but ya know...). Glitter heels like these Topshop ones have been on my radar for a while now, and would match perfectly with the glitter whisper dress from French Connection. Teamed with the Blancpain watch and Lulu Guinness clutch the little elements of gold would create a rather fabulous look! Don'tcha think? Oh, and obviously a bright lip to match! You can't miss that bit out!

Hey everyone! You may have noticed from scrolling down the photos, but I've got something a little different for you today. Yep, I'm venturing (attempting) to add a little male fashion to my blog. Not just so my dad can no longer 'pretend' to be interested, but so my male fans, friends, and hopefully some newer guys will enjoy my blog, too! Never mind the fact us girls always enjoy a little eye candy, right? Despite loving ladies fashion (obviously) I always appreciate a well dressed man. So it's about time I added a few to my little space on the internet.

After a bit of persuading, I managed to get Ross to let me boss him around for an hour or so in a rather pretty location. His choice, would you believe? 'Heritage' and 'Hunter' themes are all over mens catwalks at the moment, so this chunky knit and muted grey tones made a great combination with the Castle backdrop. The addition of a statement scarf just completed the outfit. Perfect for a cold autumn day wouldn't you say? H&M have a great knitwear collection at the moment for you guys that love a chunky jumper, by the way.

I'd never been to this lovely little location before, so Ross was basically a tour guide for the day. Turns out there used to a Refugee camp here and the cows are really friendly. Almost too friendly. But it was a lovely day, and definitely somewhere I'd love to get some more photos. Think we'll put more layers on next time though! One coat apparently wasn't enough... *Brrrr*

Kardashian Kollection Jewellery at Argos

The Kardashians really are taking the fashion world by storm at the moment. Not only are they iconic for their style, collection with Dorothy Perkins, and the infamous reality TV show. But now for their own jewellery collection with Argos. Excited much? You should be.

The collection was realeased just last week, and i don't doubt it will be a huge success! With affordable prices, on trend pieces, and a name we all want to wear - this collection really can't be missed. I was fortunate enough to be sent the gorgeous Gold chain bracelet and drop earings. I'm a huge fan of statement earings, but often find them too heavy to wear, and my little ears start aching after 5 minutes of wear! (nightmare). Fortunately, although these earings look chunky, statement and quite heavy, they're actually incredibly comfortable. I kept them in all day, and my ears weren't angry with me after for once. *YAY*

The chain bracelet is absolutely gorgeous, and looks much more expensive that it's £17.99 price tag. It's perfect for wearing as a statement by itself with a simple outfit. Or layer it up with some others in the collection for a night out with the girls. I know that's what i'll be doing!

The Royal British Legion

Most years, in aid of supporting and remembering the British armed forces, i'll pop a little donation in a box to someone (likely in Tesco's), pick out the best looking poppy, grab a pin, and then inevitably stab myself a few times trying to put it on my top (once i've spent a while deciding where it will look best, and be at least risk of my clumsy self knocking it off). Fortunately, this year, the clever and creative bunch at Jon Richard have designed a beautiful ring, so that us fashion addicts, jewellery lovers, and darn right clumsy people can pay our respects in a slightly sparklier, less 'pin stabbing' way. Phew.

I honestly never expected it to be such a gorgeous ring. Embedded with ruby coloured crystals, and a jet crystal at the centre, it really is a statement piece which I can see myself wearing all year round. Oh, and the band is also adjustable so if you're blessed with chubby little fingers like myself, you won't have to worry about it not fitting you! Bonus.

Harrods Wish List

I'm not quite sure about anyone else, but when i think of luxury department stores, I instantly think of Harrods. I remember being a little girl and entering the London store for the first time, and can honestly say I've never had a shopping experience quite like it. Obviously at the time, I was more interested in the toy section while mum was trying on a Burberry trench or Louis Vuitton shoes; But i think the point here is, regardless of your age or interests Harrods is just a fantastic, incredibly luxurious place to shop. Unfortunately for my bank account, I've now grown up a lot (I still love cuddly toys though - shhh.) so things like the infamous Alexander Wang Rocco bag go on my wish lists instead of the newest babyborn dolly (We all loved them though, right?).

So yes, my love for designer labels has lead to this post. In particular, Matthew Williamson for his beautifully bright, statement jewellery, and quite ethereal printed clothing this season. The monochrome peplum jacket above is just so perfect! Teamed with the Alexander Wang pony skin skirt and Victoria Beckham Python tote, it would create a combination I can only possibly dream of. One day, maybe.

A country lifestyle

Yesterday was just a perfect day. The sun was shining, I had a peaceful day to myself, and I truly made the most of where I lived. Don't get me wrong here, I love the city, but there's nothing like the rolling hills of the countryside. Seeing as I planned on taking some 'landscape' photo's yesterday, it seemed only appropriate that i put on this lovely tartan swing dress from Triple S! Teamed with a gold statement belt it made a perfect little outfit. Obviously though, when i ventured outside the thick knit jumper appeared and the muddy hunter boots went on.

As the dress is quite a statement piece, i went for very natural tones with my makeup. I even tried putting some white eyeliner in my waterline, and love how much it brightened my eyes! (not that they need to look any bigger). It was so bright outside though, that i just had to put on my sun glasses! (any excuse, eh?).

Autumn has arrived

I'm not even going to try and bother boring you all with a 'sorry i've been gone for so long' speech, because you've heard it all before. Yes, i may have been astray for quite some time now, but circumstances have changed and i'm back to the blog. That is all that matters, right?

Any-who, unless all you brits have been under a rock for the last cold, few weeks and haven't looked out of your window, you may have noticed that the orangey brown leaves have fallen; wooly hats have reappeared, and yes, autumn, dare i say it- is upon us. For me, this means one thing - organisation. Yep, the summer shorts and dresses are shoved to the back of the wardrobe (some are saved for those 'cardi, tights, dress' kinda days and bobble hats are placed in easily accessible places. My darker lippy's reappear, smokey eyes back and my room has a general sort, clean and prep for the foreseeable bitterly months. I doubt i'm the only one?

So, here is a few photos of a some little bits in my newly organised room, and of course, my current 'go to' makeup look. (Lip crayon from H&M). Have a fab monday! xox

You've been gone a while...

Let me start off by admitting that this post was supposed to be up a long, long time ago. However, everything that could possibly go wrong, change, or stop me from blogging has happened recently. So yes, I do deserve the 'worlds worst blogger award', but I promise to get back on track.

If I was to explain the whole story to you I'd probably need to write a novel, but I'm sure; A new job, moving house, stolen Iphone and a car crash can help you put into perspective just how manic life has been recently. Nevertheless, life must go on, and so shall this blog. It's actually crazy how much i've missed it! My last post was well over 2 months ago, and due to lack of a phone and laptop etc.. i've not even been able to keep you updated via the wonderful world of social media. This outfit is something i threw together back when the weather was nice (England, what has happened to you since?) and goes to show the versatility of a skirt. Yep, the 'top' is actually an AX Paris dress, but worn individually it was quite 'dressy' (It's a dress, i know that sounds obvious - but you know what i mean.) so to relax the look i put on a simple black Topshop skater skirt, and was genuinely happy with the outcome. My Chanel also had to make an appearance as she really has been slacking in getting herself onto this blog (god knows why!?) and my Gucci sunglasses just finished off the look, perfectly.

The makeup edit: Affordable summer lipsticks

Yep, you read the title right. I have finally done another MAKEUP post! Don't worry, I'm probably just as shocked as you all are right now. I suddenly noticed that a lot of my questions on my blog, and my Instagram are about my makeup (mainly my lip colour) so decided that it's about time i put some makeup rambles on here too. Let me just start by saying I am in no way a Makeup artist, I wear what I feel is best for me, and apply it how i feel is right. My makeup is never perfect, and i often have days where my eyebrows are wonky, my lipstick smudged and my bronzer perhaps a little too much. However, I try my best, invest in high end products (and the occasional drug store product which you will find out about in a minute) and like most girls, am bloomin' addicted to the stuff. Unfortunately for my bank account YSL, Clinique and Estee Lauder happen to be some of my favourite brands, and Chanel (especially their lipglosses - YOU MUST TRY THEM) is worryingly becoming more popular in my makeup bag. However, don't fret, I'm also a sucker for a bargainous Drug store product too. Obviously Rimmels 'Stay matte' powder is in the top 10, and recently i've discovered the wonders of MUA. Their new 'undress me too' eye shadow pallette is ah-may-zing (saved me splashing out on the Naked pallette) and i've also become a fan of their £1 lipsticks! YES, ONE BRITISH POUND. I know. Calm down girls ...

I'm used to spending an average of £20- £30 on a lip stick *Cue YSL rouge volupte addiction* so as you can imagine, the much loved Barclays card has been a little happier recently. The colour is surprisngly pigmented, the application really easy, they haven't dried my lips out (so far) and the variety of colours is wonderful. I typically go for brighter lip colours rather than nudes, as i just feel a bright lip brings out my eyes. Maybe? So as this colour is quite a vampy pinky/purple shade I added a bit more eye makeup with a winged liner, and extra layerings of mascara (for anyone wondering, I don't wear false eye lashes), It's a look i'd wear to go out for dinner, or even in the day If i was wearing quite a basic outfit. I definitely recommend checking out MUA's lipsticks range (available at Superdrug) if you are after some affordable lip products for summer!

I'm forever scouring the internet for new sites to fulfil my fashion needs, and recently I came across PersunMall. It combines both on-trend pieces, but also affordable prices. There's nothing more heartbreaking than finding a piece you like, only to realise the price is just way-out-of-bounds (and your birthday or christmas happen to be a million years away). Fortunately, PersunMall allows you to look gorgeous, without breaking the bank. I've picked my favourite pieces for you, however the cow print bag (apparently it's the new leopard print-yay!) the 'loved by bloggers' culottes, and of course the neon necklace were the 3 items that really caught my attention. Hello girlies & guys! I hope you are all well and enjoying the unbelievable weather! (while it lasts). I thought today I would let you have a little nose around my Bedroom. You can probably tell I am the girliest girl alive from the overdose of flowers, pink and lots of pretty decorations. (Oh, and Hello kitty teddies...) I honestly do promise i'm 19. It's just, I don't really want to grow up yet...

Getting Summer ready : My summer essentials

Seeing as my last post was about preparing your body for summer, It only seemed right I continued the topic into my 'summer essentials'. With the sun creeping through gradually (I say this despite rain pouring down my bedroom window) I'm beginning to prepare not just my body for some warmth, but also my wardrobe.

1. Tan : Let me start with something that probably scares a lot of people, mainly in it's 'fake' form. Yes, tan. Now, in my younger years, like many, I suffered numerous horrific attempts at applying the curry smelling, orange looking stuff that often makes you look something like a Zebra the following morning. Fortunately, with time, research and many 'trial and errors' I've learnt the art of applying it...kinda. With a vigorous exfoliate, good ol' moisturise and using a tan that is actually over the price of £1 it is possible to look 'natural' with something totally fake. You are all probably aware that St. Tropez is one of the most costly fake tans, and if I hadn't recieved this at an event, I probably wouldn't buy it. An alternative i've used is 'St Moritz' and also Dove's gradual tan moisturiser. I'm not one for a dark tan as i'm inredibly ghostly and don't want it to look too obvious. I also only really apply fake tan for an event that requires me getting out my quinessetnially pale, british legs. But lets face it, a little bit of colour goes a long way into making you feel much more confident in that skimpy playsuit or bikini, right? So unless you're lucky enough to have naturally darker skin, or actually just embrace your pale skin, a little bit of fake tan could possibly help. Especially if you can't even tan in the midst of a Mediterranean summer, like moi.

2. Bikini : Every girl needs a bikini. FACT. However it can be tediously difficult to find the perfect fitting one, and especially ones that help avoid any 'inappropriate mishaps' whilst running up beaches, swimming in pools, or even whooshing down water-slides (If you're the adventurous type) whilst on holiday. Basically, none of us like popping out of our bikini's and we also want to feel comfortable and confident in them. Fortunately, I've stumbled across my perfect fitting 2 piece for the summer months from the ever so wonderful 'To Die For' swimwear. It's nautical, navy & ever so snug around my body. Quite honestly I can't wait to wear it (someone take me on holiday so i can, yes?) and the fantastic quality has me hoping it will last many summers to come! It also came in the most-adorable-packaging-ever which had me 'oooooo-ing and awwww-ing' at first site. Be sure to check out the site for your bikini fix!

3. Accessories : We all can't live without a good pair of sunglasses, and a go-to statement necklace. Chuck them on with your playsuit over your bikini and you're instantly beach ready! I don't recommend going OTT with accessories whilst baring all on your holidays, but a little jewellery can add that perfect element of 'glamour'. And hey, we all like to look glamorous, right?

4. Sandals : Shoes. Shoes. Shoes. Okay, you all know by now I'm a shoeaholic and although I need to cut down on the shoe spending, I-just-can't-do-it. Shoe rehab anyone? ... Anyhow, not that we need an excuse to buy a new pair of shoes, but summer does seem a rather convenient time to splash out on some spectacular sandals, because no one really wants to be trawling beaches in their winter boots. I've recently let this beautiful pair of metallic, pastel goddesses into my shoedrobe, and my goodness are they doing a good job and being the popular ones. I photographed them here brand new, however they are much more loved (and abused) now. Finding comfort in heels is difficult at times, but the soft cork heel and extra padded insoles make these a fabulous day-to-night pair. I did give them an 'all day' trial recently and I was incredibly impressed to find my tootsies blister free. I actually picked up these Clarks trilby tweed sandals at Brantano, so make sure to check the site for other fab sandals to step you stylishly through summer!

5. Playsuit : Now, I know playsuits are not always everyones cup of tea due to their slight impracticalness when it comes to getting un-dressed. However, bandeau style ones literally slip on and off, and make the perfect cover up for holidays. I purchased this one from F&F a few years ago, and it's seen me through summer after summer. Almost any high street store sells them, and if you like a bargain why not head down to Primark for a cheap, colourful cover up for the beach? You can wear most from day-night, creating versatility and potentially saving space whilst packing for your trip away! Perfect.

Firstly, please yet again forgive my animals for their photo bombing. I'm not sure whether it's my fault for picking the places they like to play, or whether they simply love all the attention they get once on this little blog. Regardless, I suppose they are quite a cute prop? (so I'll just pretend I meant for them to be in the photo's...). Secondly, I wanted to show you a lovely top i've picked up recently. I must be honest, I never really go into Primark, but the other week whilst in a panic to find something which meant i didn't need to wear a bra for an occasion, I stumbled across this vest top and just couldn't resist. Without looking at the price I took it to the till, only to find it was a mere £4! YES, four-british-pounds. I know, I couldn't believe it either. It's bright, cheery and something I didn't already have in my wardrobe! I've since worn it with jeans, skirts, shorts, leggings...basically, everything. And am even considering going back for the other prints! It's such a basic top, but one I really cannot get enough of. I've worn it tucked in here, but as I intentionally bought it in a few sizes bigger it's a great length to wear untucked too. *Cue, no bottom on show*. Previous to this outfit (which i wore to see The Great Gatsby with my sister - amazing-film-btw) I'd totally forgotten I even owned this basic little skirt from Topshop. It's a lovely skater shape and such an easy piece to wear. Definitely a must-have for any wardrobe. Teamed with my adorable sandals from Next it made a rather girly, and cinema-date appropriate outfit. Don't cha think? ...

We all want a bikini body, but still want to eat cake

You've probably assumed from the title, that this post is going to be somewhat different to the usual mumble jumble & pretty pictures you see on this little space on the internet. And yes, you assumed right.

Let me start by asking, 'Is anyone else panicking about the little pouch of cake they still have on their stomach, despite summer being just around the corner?' Well, I certainly am. Now, don't get me wrong here and think I'm of those people that obsesses about being 'skinny' (I refuse to use that word again). Because honestly, I really do love cake. And biscuits. And sweets. And... you get the point. However, I will admit that I like to be as healthy as possible (nothing wrong with that, right?) and rather love the gym. Unfortunately I'm not blessed with the ability to go on the 'see food, and eat it diet' and still have an amazing bod, but I am certainly in the process of persevering with my 'fitness' in the hope of feeling confident in shorts this summer.

I'm not going to give you any ~~crap~~ rubbish here about diets or losing weight fast, because lets be honest, all you need to do is eat healthily, to be healthy. Besides, the cabbage diet sounds far too cake-less for me anyway. Oh, and I do treat myself, often. Far too often. But shh! ;)

Anyhow, seeing as this is a fashion blog, I suppose I should talk to you a little about clothes? Now, we all know that if we have an amazing outfit planned for the next day, there's a 99% chance we're a little more excited about getting out of bed in the morning. After noticing this, I tried to encourage it into my 'fitness wardrobe', or whatever you would like to call it. I bought some funky (but supportive) new trainers, comfortable sports bras, and found the prettiest vest tops & leggings that was humanely possible. None of us look our best at the gym. Sweat, no make up & tied up hair have unfortunately never been the most attractive combination. Considering that fact, we may as well make the most of what we wear. So girlies, in the hope of inspiring you to get your little booties to the gym (unless you already look like Beyonce) I've made a pretty little collage of all the pretty little things that could potentially make you look 'pretty' at the gym! HOORAH. xxx

The mini, mini skirt

Okay, yes, we all own that skirt that is probably a little on the short side, and likely one your parents wouldn't let you wear out, had you walked down the stairs in it age 13. However, I've fallen totally in love with this one & will wear it regardless of anyones opinion. Besides, a mini skirt is a wardrobe staple, right? ...

Although this is a tweed like material (one you'd associate with winter) It's light muted brown colour, and cool cotton underlay make it great for all seasons! Currently i'm wearing it with tights & a shirt, however come summer, I'll be able to wear it with a Cami top & sandals! I love the contrast in pattern too with the polka dot shirt (which i picked up a while back for a mere £2) and my new sandals from next add that little 'summer' edge.

My Spring essentials: High street edition

Okay, so, the North finally got about an hour of sun today *hoorah*, there wasn't enough to get a tan, or really even to get warm. But, my spring clothing imagination ran wild and i found myself sat outside with a cup of tea sprawling the web for my affordable 'spring essentials'. Like most, I like to buy things on a whim, never wear them and often find them on Ebay a few weeks later. However, I've decided this spring that I want to create a 'capsule' wardrobe, stop wasting my money and actually have something to wear for once. With Newcastle fashion week coming up as well, this seemed like the perfect time to inspire myself, and you lovely lot, too.

Above you will find staple items I shall definitely not be living without this Spring. A stripe dress is such a classic piece, easy to wear day & night, and this one is just £8! Absolute bargain If you ask me. The pastel jacket is a must have on colder days, and adds instant glamour to any outfit! Although slightly pricier at £59.99, It will be guaranteed to see you through spring, summer and likely the early months of next winter, too! (but lets not think about that just yet). You've probably all noticed sandals around recently, and this pair are a great Zara dupe! They're so classy and perfect for spring/summer evenings. Lastly, we cannot forget our statement necklaces & bags. Throw on a T-shirt, a chunky necklace & sling your glamorous white bag over your arm and you're ready to go.

Hey everyone! I hope you're all well! Apologies for the lack of blogging recently, I've been really busy, honestly. I had a lovely spontaneous trip to Istanbul last week, and although i had some blog posts planned I just didn't get a chance to get them up. But, at least you'll get a nice bunch this week and next! Yay?

This is a little outfit I wore for a day out with my sister a couple of weeks back. We took a cutesy trip to Durham for a change, spent far too much money *oopsies* and endulged in some rather delicious food (As you can see above). It was wonderful to spend a day together as we often don't get much time alone, and although we thought we lost the car (Yes, we were actually in the wrong car park, but shh.) It was one of the loveliest days we've ever had.

I was very kindly sent this dress from Mina, and i must admit it's crazy monochrome print has made me fall totally in love. Because the weather is still totally unpredictable I wore a black top underneath to keep the horrific northern wind at bay, and teamed it with a bright yellow satchel to 1. Add a little colour and 2. Make me hope that summer may actually turn up this year ... *Fingers crossed*. Although i love this look, I can't wait to be able to whip off the black top, get on my sandals & sunglasses and finally-enjoy-some-sun.

Right, let me just start by asking, have I actually ever worn trousers/jeans on my blog? I think not. Whilst rummaging through my wardrobe to find an outfit to wear with this lovely jacket I kept grabbing out my dresses, and then i thought 'Why not just try something different for once?' So here you have it, 'leg conscious', 'always in dresses' me is wearing trousers! (Okay, maybe they're just really thick leggings, but it still counts!). I picked them up in Zara a little while back, and have fallen in love with them. I thought the zips went perfectly with the slight 'edginess' of the jacket (pick it up for a bargain at £29.99), but i still added a little feminine touch with a floaty blouse, satchel bag and oversized sunglasses! This is such a different outfit for me, but I actually rather love it.

I received this jacket a little while back from Karma Clothing, and now i've become comfortable with it, I can't wait to style it all through spring. The material is light weight, so it's going to be perfect for cool spring days, windy summer nights, and spot on for my spontaneous little trip to Istanbul on Friday! *hoorah for some sun*. I'm in an absolute panic about what to take for the 19degrees weather because knowing me, i'll get cold. Fortunately, this is going to be a great jacket to keep the breeze off! Although, after the minus temperatures we've recently suffered, 19-20 degrees is likely going to feel like the Bahamas, so I should probably calm down a little?!

So, you've read all about my outfit now, but i'm sure you are wondering who that little chap above is. Okay, well, everyone meet, Troy! The fluffy, lively new addition to the house hold. Who loves to chew EVERYTHING, may i just add. Despite that typical puppy habit, he's an absolute bundle of joy and an incredibly talented one at that! We've had him 3 days now and my sister has already managed to train him to sit! I know, i'm shocked too! Expect to see much more of him in the future!
